About California Day of Prayer

California is a broken state full of broken people.  We are lost, we are desperate, and we need God to intervene!  It’s not just our political system and our divided public square, but also many churches and people who claim the name of Jesus but have become confused and have tragically wandered from the truth.  Some call evil “good” and good “evil.”

All extraordinary movements of God in history have been preceded by extraordinary prayer. We desperately need God to move.  We need miracles.  We need breakthroughs.  These are things we cannot manufacture ourselves.  Prayer is a powerful spiritual weapon.  When we pray, we unleash the power of the Kingdom of heaven here on earth.  This is why we need to humbly and cooperatively work together to call all believers to set aside a day of prayer and fasting for a broken and divided California and nation.

What would this day look like?  The primary call is not to a single big event, but for Christ followers to fast and pray wherever they are on Saturday, November 22, 2025.  We envision millions of Californians praying for our state and nation on the same day.  We are asking churches, ministries, social media influencers, and others to join us in promoting a day of prayer and fasting. However, this must not be led, controlled, or owned by any single person, organization, or church.  Pride will kill this before it even starts. We must intentionally set aside our egos, logos, and banners and invite all believers to join us in crying out to God.

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

2 Chronicles 7:14
